Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) have been recently considered in communication environments for focusing signal reflections to create smart radio environments. As it can favorable propagation conditions by controlling the phase shifts of reflected signals at surface enhance quality. However, current proofs concept require complex operations RIS configuration, which are mainly realized via wired control connections. When used wireless networks, RISs may contribute communications. The present paper, compares technology with SISO case and evaluates performance assisted system giving an approximation achievable data rate energy efficiency, investigates effect distances on efficiency. In this work, based a work Emil Björnson [18], we studied impact sensor networks modifying some parameters more interpretations. particular, illustrate numerical results that highlight spectral efficiency gains when their size is sufficiently large as compared wavelength waves. addition, discuss key open issues need be addressed unlocking potential benefits application communications networks.
